Grandmothers Healing Haka stands for more than only a Maori Healing Dance for grandmothers.
This power dance imparts wisdom and love from the tradition of our Waitaha Maori grandmothers, the water carriers, to encourage people to remember their own cultural roots.
Remembering our roots is helping to sustain the cultural diversity, which is disappearing. This is happening every day as our modern world is consuming the natural resources of our planet.
This abundance of our world, can be seen as a garden of flowers, full of fragrance, full of colour, full of beauty that inspires and nourishes our whole well-being.
Grandmothers Healing Haka is for everyone, young and old, male and female. It is for all those who want to honour the call of the Grandmothers and the energy of the divine mother. It is for all those who want to re-integrate this into their lives, to bring the male and female energies back into balance and to create peace within themselves and for mother earth.
The Wananga-schooling of Grandmothers Healing Haka provides a path of different levels and steps, allowing the individual to meet oneself on a journey together.
We offer:
- Introductory nights and seminars
- Intensive seminars level 1 and level 2
- Repetition courses
- Workshops of special elements
For January 2010, Grandmothers Healing Haka Wananga-schooling is preparing an international group to go on a two week Grandmothers Healing Haka experience tour to Aotearoa - New Zealand, on the trails of Grandmother Mere Tewake Tana to meet her land, her family and her ancient living culture.
“If you remember who you are and where you come from, you will know where you are going to.“
